Volkan 2000
The Volkan 2000 is a front-loading incinerator with a door that slides to the side and provides clear access for ease of loading. It has been designed so that the incinerator controls are placed away from the loading areas. This enables ease of operation. The Volkan 2000 is capable of pre-heating the after burn to the required temperature. This allows the operator to load the carcass and preheat the secondary chamber in a simple operation.
Once the afterburner chamber has reached the desired temperature of 850°C the main chamber 
will then commence the incineration process effectively and cleanly. Once the burn program
is selected it is possible to leave the incinerator unattended until the carcass reduces to ash.
With a burn rate of less than 50kg per hour, the Volkan 2000 incinerator has a low-capacity status requiring no planning permission for on-farm usage. Temperature measurement equipment and controller is supplied as standard. This ensures that the afterburner gas temperature reaches 850°C as soon as possible. Once reached 850°C is maintained until the end of the main burn cycle. Should the temperature continue to rise, one or both of the burners are turned off. This provides significant fuel saving. At all times the 850°C for 2 seconds Animal By-Products Regulation requirement is met for the exhaust gases. The incinerator is commissioned on-site by a fully trained engineer and requires a concrete hard standing with a 240-volt electricity supply. The incinerator has a chimney stack which is 5 metres from the top of the incinerator.
