Volkan 500 Animal Incinerator
The Volkan 500 'sfront-loading 500kg capacity easily accommodates large volumes of waste within the main chamber (such as a sow). Insertion of carcasses is further assisted by using the optional loading trolley and winch. Once loaded, the operator selects a burn program and can then leave the incinerator unattended until the carcass has been reduced to ash. With a burn rate of less than 50kg per hour, the Volkan 500 has a low-capacity status requiring no planning permission for farm usage. The incinerator is highly efficient, utilising automatic burners and timer controls that ensure minimal running costs. The model is designed to use the inherent fuel properties within the animal fat that aid combustion. The incinerator’s thermostat triggers the burners to extinguish when an appropriate temperature is reached, increasing fuel efficiency significantly. It also benefits from a secondary chamber to ensure reduced emissions. Simply and easily installed on site, it requires 230-volt electricity and fuel supply.
